John E. Williams died last Sunday morning at his home in Crawfordsville. His death was due to Bright's disease from which he had been a sufferer for a long time. For the last 3 years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Nannie Hall in Crawfordsville, but before going there he lived for almost 60 years on his farm near Ladoga. Mr. Williams was born in Wayne County Oct 22, 1820 and is the last of a family of 9 children. He was married to Mary CROSS near Ladoga Dec 11, 1845. Of the 8 children born to them 5 survive: James B; Franklin P and Mrs. Nannie Hall all of Crawfordsville; John of Ladoga and ... (sorry, the rest of the obit. is not there)
